Since 2012, TANTlab has been a hub for discussion and experimentation at the intersection of digital and participatory methods, Science & Technology Studies, and anthropology.
In this online seminar series, we revisit 10 seminal TANTlab texts. For each session, we invite the original authors to reflect on their arguments and engage in dialogue about their relevance in today’s world.
The seminars will be hosted by Matt Artz, Mathieu Jacomy and Torben Elgaard Jensen, and we warmly welcome everyone to join the conversation.
This session features Mathieu Jacomy, revisiting: Munk, A. K., Olesen, A. G., & Jacomy, M. (2022). The thick machine: Anthropological AI between explanation and explication. Big Data & Society, 9(1), 20539517211069891.
