Anders Kristian Munk is an anthropologist and professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He holds degrees in ethnology and human geography, with a PhD from the University of Oxford, and previously worked at the SciencesPo médialab in Paris.
At Aalborg University, Munk was one of the founding figures of the Techno-Anthropology Lab (TANTLab), where he served as director and helped establish Techno-Anthropology as a research program alongside Torben Elgaard Jensen and Anders Koed Madsen. He is the co-author of Controversy Mapping: A Field Guide, which introduces readers to the observation and representation of contested issues on digital media. With Madsen, he also co-edited the Handbook of Digital and Computational Research Methods (Edward Elgar, 2026).
