Anders Koed Madsen is a professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), in the Department of Technology, Management and Economics. His work is situated within science and technology studies, with a focus on computational approaches to studying digital platforms, public discourse, and knowledge production.
Before joining DTU, Madsen was a researcher at Aalborg University’s Techno-Anthropology Lab (TANTLab), where he helped establish Techno-Anthropology as a research program alongside Torben Elgaard Jensen and Anders Kristian Munk. His contributions to computational methods in the social sciences and humanities have been widely cited. With Munk, he co-edited the Handbook of Digital and Computational Research Methods (Edward Elgar, 2026), examining how computational approaches have transformed research across the social sciences and humanities.
